Kilcullen Parish Mission Statement:
'Kilcullen Parish is a welcoming and caring Christian Community that celebrates its God, that deepens its faith and that shares'.
Welcome to Kilcullen Parish Website
Ash Wednesday is the beginning of the season of Lent. Marking with ash is a symbolic reminder that we come from the dust and that so much of what we do, and are, will return to dust one day.
Lent is about remembering why Jesus died and making space within us for God.
We decide
- What we are giving up? Or maybe we will say extra prayers? Light a candle for the sick, lonley and housebound?
- Go to confession?
We pray for those who have died, may their souls rest in eternal peace and we pray for their families and friends O Lord keep them in your tender Care. Amen
We also pray for all the children who are recieving Penance & First Holy Communion & Confirmation this year.
